In terms of fixed protection of wire harness, the fixed protection parts are introduced: through hole rubber parts are mainly used when the wire harness assembly needs to pass through the body or frame holes, which can prevent abrasion or collision impact between the electronic wire harness and the hole wall. When used for body through holes, they can also play a role in waterproof, dust-proof and noise isolation. In addition to the examples in Figure 1 and Figure 2, protective sleeves of various structures will be used on the harness assemblies at the interface between the front engine room and the cab, at the interface between the four doors and the compartment, and through the front wall baffle to ensure smooth transition and bending of the harness

Selection of materials for through hole rubber parts: The materials for through hole rubber parts include natural rubber, neoprene, silicone rubber and EPDM, but EPDM is the most widely used because EPDM has the following characteristics compared with other types of rubber:

1) In terms of cost: EPDM can be filled with a large amount of oil and carbon black, with low density (0.865), and the product price is lower than that of neoprene and silicone rubber

2) Performance: EPDM has outstanding ozone resistance and aging resistance; It is stable to water, ethanol, acetone, sulfuric acid, 20% hypochlorite and alkali liquor, and has good elasticity
